Images-Django Site

I have a website created with Django. I have been able to edit it basically. This was setup by a friend who is not contactable now. I would like a developer to explain to me how to upload the images to the website, its probably very simple, would like it explained in detail please. The developer could upload some of the images, then give me the full instructions on how to complete the task.

The previous images were in the correct order. My friend manually entered all the dates the photos were taken, then sort them based on that. He said it should be simple enough that I could upload the images in the future......I cannot work it out.
