Web Application Developer

Position immediately available for an experienced software professional.

We are looking for a Python/Django guru, loving using and writing great software, having excellent skills as a software engineer, and experienced in webapp development. 

You should be fluent in Python and interested in learning and putting your hands on the various technologies arising: Angular, React, or Meteor for example.

Strong front-end skills including HTML, CSS and JavaScript are also required. Knowledge of SQL and Cloud Computing is a huge plus.

You will work within an international team of developers skilled in Python, Java, and Common Lisp.  The team is working to deliver the premier Big Data Analytics platform.

The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is a must (Spanish is not required). European Union legal working status is required. The company will provide relocation assistance.

Fashion+Big Data Startup looking for Django / Python Web Developer, Madrid

Hi,we are a startup called StyleSage - Fashion meets Big Data. We analyze 1000+ fashion retailers, 20K brands and 30M+ products in real time to provide fashion retailers and brands with the right insights to make better decisions. We have developed a web-based platform with beautiful, interactive visualizations that make all that data accessible and insightful.

We are looking for a Web Developer to join our team in Madrid! As Web Developer your main responsibilities would include:

  • Improve the UX of our frontend and develop various frontend features using Django, Javascript, HTML5 and CSS.
  • Develop charts that visualize data from our database using HighCharts / Amcharts
  • Our current development team is only 3 people, so you will also get to see all other activities as well

The ideal candidate will

  • Have  experience in frontend technologies (Django, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Have a strong sense for design and UX
  • Know how to get data from databases to create dynamic websites
  • Have a passion for data or fashion
  • Be a good team player who is reliable and driven to solve even the most complex challenges
  • Have intermediate English conversation skills (half the team is only English speaking)
  • A plus would be experience JavaScript charting libraries (e.g. HighCharts, AmCharts or D3)

We are developing in Python but also welcome non-Pythonistas!

Web Developer - Málaga

Position immediately available for an experienced software professional. You will work within an international team of developers skilled in Python, SQL, Java and Common Lisp.

The ideal candidate will have excellent skills as a software engineer and professional experience delivering web-based applications developed and deployed on Linux.  You should be fluent in Python and SQL for the backend, and an HTML, CSS and JavaScript expert on the front end. Knowledge of Django and jQuery are highly recommended.  Must be adaptable and willing to learn new technologies. You work successfully in a small team environment, with a willingness to teach and to learn.

You will develop, extend and support a set of web-based tools for use by a team of non-programmer colleagues. You must be proficient at working directly with this team to support their needs and improve their work flow. You should be equally comfortable working with the development and operations staff, including leading reviews of your code and participating in the reviews of others.

The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union legal working status is strongly preferred.
