Established in 2007, Cycle Confident Ltd is a cycle training provider delivering a wide range of cycling services predominantly in London. We deliver high quality cycle training to schools, corporates and individuals. We are a fast-growing, forward-thinking company passionate about empowering as many people as possible to take to the roads on their bicycles.
The Role
We are a dynamic and ambitious company who have developed a bespoke cycle training software over the past five years and we are recruiting for a lead developer to continue the site development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a big impact not only within the organisation but also within our industry as a whole.
Our ideal candidate will have some years experience in Python for web development. Django experience is an advantage but is not a must as long as you are a fast learner.
We are looking for a candidate who is technically very able, has a desire to learn and develop their skill set with us, problem solve and be able to understand and interpret front end user requirements into technical development.
There will be a handover period in the role but you will be expected to keep up. We're developing lots of new features and if you think you can be part of a fast paced, adaptive release schedule and bring a sharp mind and great analytical skills to the table we would love to hear from you!
Technical skill set requirement:
The successful applicant will:
· Have experience with Python, Django, HTML5, CSS, Jquery, Subversion (Git or Bazaar is just as good) and Postgres (or MySQL).
· Be at home on the command line, familiar with Linux server environments and be familiar with version control and release management techniques.
· Stack:
Nginx, uWSGI, Django, Postgres, RackSpace instance
Version control: Subversion
Salary: £28,000 – 35,000 per year depending on experience.
Terms: Initial 12 month contract.
Working hours: approx. 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be located at the company’s dedicated premises in the SW9 6DE.
