I'm adding an API to an open source Django project and I need help. 

I'm new to Django and python, but have worked for 16 years as a contract programmer in php/js/lamp. 

You are an experienced python programmer who has created at least one customized REST API and REST client using the Django Rest Framework DRF. 

Bonus if you have used code-generation tools for DRF serializers, and also for REST clients. 

Together (you, I, and the open-source authors) we will collaborate, design, and code up both the server and client side of the api.
