Travis Nickles

I have been a Python developer for around 4 years. My first projects written in Python were written when I was part of The Linux Link Tech Show's Python Study Group back in 2007. The best program that I was involved with over that summer was YouTubed-2x; the program was originally a console-based application but a GUI was made with PyGTK later in the year. Since then, I have written several applications in Python although my GP2X-focused application YouTubed-2x has remained my most popular; pizza-py-party has been a fairly popular application of mine as well.

My first experiments with Django came about in 2007 when I wanted to start developing web application but I wanted to continue programming in Python. I started using Django around version 0.96. Although I have done a few experiments with Django, my only public web site using Django has been my blog at http://www.ryochan7.com/. The project uses many different Django applications such as django-pingback, django-sphinx and django-tagging. My overall experience using Django spans a little over a year.
