Working with Healthcare Flows Group, which has a long-standing research and development experience in biomedical and clinical IT applications. Activities include several applications of technology to medicine: biomedical data modeling, heterogeneous system integration, e-Health and telemedicine.
Developer, Education and Public Outreach Department at ESO - ESA/Hubble (2009)
Development for Portal to The Universe (www.portaltotheuniverse.org), a cornerstone project for International Year of Astronomy, implemented in Python and Django.
ICT Consultant, Education Technology and Training group at CRS4 (2008 – 2009)
ICT management for project MOsKA (http://moka.crs4.org) - Mobile Organized Knowledge Access for science; planning and development of an online system for managing and accessing didactic video seminars about astronomy and renewable energies, with mobile phone access, in Python and Django.
Developer, Sardinia DistrICT at Sardegna Ricerche (2008)
Porting of a library for managing XMP, IPTC and EXIF metadata in multimedia formats in Python http://code.google.com/p/python-xmp-toolkit/ ); implementation of raw images formats support for MediaDART, a large Python-based multimedia toolkit.
Developer, Digital Media Systems area at CRS4 (2007 – 2009)
Development of a web-based demo application for MediaDART project (http://www.mediadart.org/); integration of MediaDART toolkit with Sardegna DigitalLibray, a local government’s large media archive; development for Crea Tivù (www.creativu.it), a web-based collaborative television software and Notre DAM (http://www.notre-dam.org/), an open source digital asset management platform. All projects were implemented using Python and Django.
Developer and System Administrator, System and Network Solutions area at CRS4 (2001 – 2006)
System and network administration of Linux and Solaris machines; planning and implementation of several e-government projects, in Python and Zope, both for local and national institutions; design and implementation of a Python toolkit for a multimedia distribution system to be used in set-top-box units.
