Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate Backend Engineer with experience using Django to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills and experience to make a significant impact on our consumer application's backend systems for a soon to be leader in consumer AI. You will develop, maintain, and enhance the backbone of our product, helping us to improve our platform and services, and ensure a seamless and satisfying user experience for our global consumer base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build, maintain, and enhance our backend systems using Django.
2. Design and implement robust microservice architecture for our proprietary AI microservices..
3. Ensure the effective integration of microservices, facilitating smooth data flow and efficient access.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
5. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and optimize for efficiency and scalability.
6. Provide technical support for our backend systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing fixes as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years experience as a Backend Developer using Django.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of microservice infrastructure.
3. Proficient in Python and Django; familiarity with other backend frameworks is a plus.
4. Strong understanding of microservices design principles and RESTful API integration.
5. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud Platform is preferred).
6. Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) is a plus.
7. Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think creatively and innovatively.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
