Vincent Hillenbrink
I do web development - programming both client and server side, since 1995. I have used a lot of technology, but in 2008 I decided to go back to the tools I used in the mid-nineties: Python and JavaScript. (Although nowadays I don't leave home without Django and jQuery, of course.)
I like hands-on programming, yet I also care about overall quality very much. That is why I always enjoy being team lead and actively assist project management when needed. I am passionate about harmonizing technology and development efforts, making the most out of build & test automation, issue trackers, project wikis, and version control systems.
Until the end of 2008, I developed and put in practice the Stand-Alone Front-End (SAFE) method, focusing purely on rapid front-end (UI) development in JavaScript and XSLT. Since early 2009, I am generally looking for projects where the following tools can be used: Python & Django, JavaScript & jQuery, Mercurial & Subversion, and HTML5 Canvas.
