Django Developer for Real-Time Stock Market Startup

We're a startup in Santa Monica looking for a rockstar Django developer to add to our team. We can't say much, but the product is a real-time platform for the stock trading community. Because of the real-time nature of the platform, you'll get an opportunity to work with some really cool technologies. Our offices are on the beach of Santa Monica, but you're welcome to work mostly from home if you prefer.

We're looking for self-taught self-starters. You must have the ability to pickup new technologies quickly. We are not micro-managers, so we need people who can take the bull by the horns.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years with Python
  • 1+ years with Django
  • 1+ years with JQuery
  • Linux Experience

Not required, but would help:

  • Experience with Non-Relational Databases (couchdb, cassandra, etc)
  • Asynchronous messaging and task queues (rabbitmq, celery)
  • Server-side XMPP (ejabberd)
  • Client-side XMPP (strophe.js, xmpp4js)
  • SOAP web services
