Web Site Developer and Operations Manager

The position is responsible for operations management of a soon-to-be relaunched site using the Django framework. The position will be responsible for live site operations, in addition to continuing site development to accommodate the needs of the business. Front-end development is also an aspect of this position. This position is a full-time and on-site. Minimum job contract is one year.
Educational Requirements: • BS required with strong computer science background.
Required Skills: • Strong experience in development and deployment of Python/Django web apps • 3+ years of mySQL database experience • Ability to performance tune the site • Healthy knowledge of front-end development and coding (HTML, JQuery, CSS, Ajax, etc.) • Strong shell scripting experience; maintain Linux-based servers in Amazon EC2 environment • Strong understanding of the HTTP and SSL protocol • Good understanding of SOAP protocol • This position will involve off-hour support in case of emergency events • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
