We are building a rich Web application and looking for a creative, multi-skilled developer to join our back-end engineering team. Are you smart, fun, experienced and motivated? Looking for a hot startup doing ground-breaking work? This is a contract position (no recruiter involved, this is direct), and starts immediately as either fulltime or part-time. This position can be on-site (Hollywood, CA) or remote (with some face-to-face meetings)but you MUST be located in Pacific Time zone.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Build a data management server in python

• Lead e-commerce integration for our Django application (Satchmo & Authorize.net experience desired)

• Assist with frontend integration/production using Javascript/JSON, CSS, etc.

• Server configuration and system administration, as needed • Other development projects, as requested

The ideal candidate has:

• 2-5 yrs professional development experience in Python and object-oriented programming

• Repeated experience building Web applications using Django/Turbogears framework

• Experience in Agile environments with good documentation and test-driven development habits

• Hands-on experience with , Javascript, JQuery, AJAX/JSON, HTML, and CSS

• Familiarity with NGINX, WSGI, Apache, and Linux

On the softer side:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

• Good at creating well structured/documented code

• Experience working in startups & fast-paced environments
