We are Fluendo Embedded SL, the leading developer of the industry, open source media center application Elisa. In development for over 2 years, Elisa is forging a new market and stands as the thought leader in social media experience.

Fluendo Embedded is part of the Fluendo family of companies that includes Fluendo, the undisputed leader in fully-licensed multimedia codecs on the Linux platform, and Flumotion, provider of hosted and standalone installations of the only cross-format streaming media encoder and server.

The web developer is responsible for developing all web-related technologies in the company, including our portal, website, backoffice and invoicing system. This includes:

• The customer-facing statistics portal
• The internal customer management back office
• The invoicing system
• The corporate website
• Customer-oriented web development (in coordination with Professional Services)
• Database design and administration
• Planning and developing the various web projects
• Bug fixing of the web projects currently in production
• Provide documentation to sales and customers
• Assist in incident analysis and resolution

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Good English speaking skills are required. Development happens in English. - Relocation to Barcelona required. - Experience with software development in one or more of: multimedia systems, Linux/UNIX, Python, RDBMS (MySQL), Web services, distributed systems.

POSITION EXTRA SKILLS (TO IDENTIFY TOP CANDIDATES): - Experience in managing big database scenarios - Experience developing with MySQL. - Experience developing with Python in general and Django in particular - Experience with audio/video/multimedia will be a plus. - Must be ale to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor. - Ability to multi-task. - Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and Spanish. Third language will be a plus.
