Castle Hall is a small, entrepreneurial company based in Montreal(South Shore) with an international footprint and outlook. We review hedge funds and other alternative investments on behalf of our global client base. We are looking for an energetic and motivated developer to lead our ongoing development efforts. These efforts are primarily focused on delivering our product to our clients via our custom developed Django client portal, but you will be expected to contribute to technology initiatives across the business.

Candidates will possess the following qualifications / attributes:

◦ Self-starter with great verbal communication skills. Highly energetic and willing to contribute to all technology areas across the business; ◦ Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail; ◦ Experience with Django/Python; ◦ Front-end development skills: CSS, JavaScript, jQuery with familiarity with Firebug or WebKit Development Tools; ◦ Knowledge of relational databases including query optimization.

In addition, the ideal candidate will also possess the following qualifications / attributes:

◦ Familiarity with Python automated testing tools and continuous integration; ◦ Experience with version control system (Mercurial, GIT); ◦ Shell scripting and basic administration; ◦ Familiarity with Report Lab and Tableau software; ◦ Financial industry experience; ◦ Experience with the Apple ecosystem (Mac and iOS).
