Hello everyone,

To introduce myself I am currently a senior at Virginia Tech in Computer Engineering. My intention for this post is to describe one of my current endeavors in case you find my project interesting and wish to know more.

I have always had an interest in building websites and that’s what I’m going to talk to you about today. Currently, in my spare time I have been working on my music website called “MadTrak.” You can simply go to my domain at www.madtrak.com and see for yourself. The vision I have in mind is really different than any sort of music website you would see today. My goal is to provide an online space where artists, fans, and venues can all interact. What do I mean? Well, I’m going to describe some examples. If any of you have friends that are artists or you are an artist yourself you know that promoting your own music can be difficult. Well I want to ease the pain with technology. I believe that my website could recommend artists to fans daily through the use of geo based location. The website could also incentivize fans in promoting artists as well. For example, let’s say a fan posts to their Facebook about an event coming up at a registered MadTrak venue with a registered MadTrak artist. Well, MadTrak would give that fan a discount on purchasing a ticket to that show. I believe there are many more possibilities too.

In regards to databases my website uses PostgresSQL. The skills I am looking for are:
