Djangogigs.com - Details for the music promotion app gig

A partner and I are beginning work on a simple music sharing site that allows users to upload music to be rated/categorized/commented on by other users. There is a small social component to this (user profiles) but it is NOT a social networking website.

We are now seeking development help and would love to build the site using django, but are open to other possibilities.
