We’re looking for a Python/Django Developer who is responsible for maintaining, updating, and perfecting the technology used to power our production website. Ideal candidates will have professional software development experience building database-driven, web-based systems. You will be utilizing the latest web technologies to solve challenging problems, create innovative web applications from the ground up and understand exactly what it takes to create an outstanding Web experience for our customers. You will take initiative on new ways to increase customer satisfaction.

You will be a technically competent, hands-on self-starter with strong communication skills and must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our ideal candidate is detailed oriented, precise and practical about solving and managing everyday engineering challenges. This is a full time position.

This is the perfect time for you to make an impact in a growing organization. We would prefer someone local to the Southern California area but are open to the option of working off site. As part of our development team you will be collaborating with other developers on the team to maintain, troubleshoot and fix issues that arise with current applications.

Requirements: You should have a thorough understanding of Python and at least 3 years of experience with Django . You keep your code DRY as possible and as PEP8 compliant as practical. You should have code samples that demonstrate the above. You should have a working knowledge of git or similar DVCS. You should be comfortable in a *NIX environment and should have experience deploying production sites. You should have knowledge of Amazon Web Services hosting as well as Rackspace Cloud Files.

What to expect: You will be working with a complex Django based project, using Ubuntu, Nginx/uwsgi, PostgreSQL and Django as the deployment environment. The application interacts with SOAP services and processes complex transactions. Please include any github/bitbucket or other links to the best examples of your own Python/Django work.
