We are seeking candidates for the position of Mobile Developer in our New York, NY office.

RESPONSIBILITES 1. Develop mobile web interfaces to Discovery Digital Media web sites 2. Develop custom mobile applications for key Discovery brands 3. Work supporting external partners in development of mobile web and apps 4. Work with Mobile product manager to define new mobile products and refine and evolve existing products

REQUIREMENTS 1-2 or more years of experience of mobile application development 2-3 years experience building high performance, multi browser sites

Working Experience with: * Python for web development and/or Django CMS development on platforms like TeamSite, Movable Type, Django, etc HTML5, CSS3 LAMP Architecture Javascript/JQuery, JQuery mobile, AJAX and REST. JSON, ATOM, RSS, XML and XSLT Interacting with backend frameworks for mobile devices Experience building custom content feeds Experience with Android and/or iOS development

Special Skills/Other qualifications: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively work in a matrix team environment and with people in other departments and/or outside the corporation. Ability to work in a team environment to solve complex problems. Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field such as computer science. Experience working with and managing outside contractors Comfortable working in an Agile environment Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization Must have the legal right to work in the United States
