7Stalks Consulting is looking for an experienced Django/Python developer for production and maintenance of the open-source software that powers several of our web-based initiatives. The candidate must be able to manage a variety of projects from start to finish including application development, maintenance, package upgrades, and API integrations. Additionally, involvement in the hands-on, day-to-day operation of existing systems and projects may be required.

Tip: Absolutely no recruiters, we prefer to work with US based (college) candidates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience with Python.
• Minimum 1 years of direct experience with Django.
• Solid understanding of version control / configuration management
• Solid understanding the Linux OS and issue resolution
• Solid understanding of shell scripting
• Candidate should possess solid debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills

Desired:

• Solid experience with GitHub
• Direct experience with deploying Cloud amazon solutions.
• Experience utilizing/integrating developer APIs (Google Maps, YouTube, etc).

This position allows you to directly contribute new and exciting features to our customers. You should have a passion for programming and have initiative to develop interesting and exciting experiences for our users. This is part time remote position which could scale to a a full time role for the right candidate.
