Thanks for reading our Django developer ad :) before I go into the technical requirements we're looking for let me sell you on the idea, because buying into what we're trying to do is more important than anything else.

• THE GROUPWINK VISION -

GroupWink is an Austin, Texas-based startup who has just received it's third round of funding and we're ready to bring on a full time developer/CTO and consider equity based on the person. GroupWink is a location-based group dating platform that that alleviates the awkward blind dating style of current online dating platforms and mimics the natural social process of meeting new people that occurs every day.

Imagine going out with a group of your single friends, talking and meeting a group of potential dating prospects, talking for 30 minutes and then finding out they're not interested, you're not interested, they're in relationships, or are just plain weird. Then you're out of luck and you have to go scouring other venues or groups one at a time, spending plenty of time and money at each until you find someone you click with. GroupWink aims to have single groups looking to meet people identify themselves so you can browse their pictures, see their girl/guy ratio and most importantly, see where all the groups who want to meet others in your vicinity are located and reach out to them.

• WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR -

We're looking of a CTO/Lead Developer who can help take GroupWink from a back end and iOS BETA to a web and Android platform ready for an official launch and beyond. We want someone who enjoys the start up environment and wants to be a part of an exciting venture.

• REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS -

• 2+ years Django experience, including experience with django-south for database migrations and the django-piston module for creating RESTful APIs.

• 2+ years experience with PostgreSQL.

• 2+ years iOS development experience. - Experience developing data-heavy applications that communicate with external APIs. - Experience developing apps for multiple versions of iOS (4.2 and above, as well as 5.0 and above.) - Success deploying applications to the App Store

• BONUS POINTS -

• 2+ years developing Android applications.

• Looking for the same requirements as above.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and various associated libraries - Experience with the Geolocation library. - Including knowledge of mobile web rendering quirks, etc.

• CSS and Javascript (preferably JQuery) experience. - Comfort with CSS rendering quirks on mobile devices.
