Pownce (pownce.com) is a social networking and messaging web application and is one of the largest sites built using the Django framework. We're looking for a full-time (sorry, no contractors) Django developer to help create new features for Pownce. This developer will have plenty of creative freedom and will meet with the entire (but very small) Pownce team on a regular basis.

Extremely flexible work schedule, salary based on experience, and performance-based stock options.

Required bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 4+ years web programming experience. Contributor to the Django project or other open source projects is a plus. Django/Python experience not absolutely required. Ideal candidate is self-motivated, excited about Django, able to learn quickly, and comfortable communicating with the team on a regular basis. Relocation to San Francisco bay area is required.
